Telus Tv plus app on firestick
When will Telus introduce an app on Firestick?
Already asked a few times. Same answer from Telus: they won't announce anything until it's ready. They have been looking into the Firestick but have not announced anything.

Hi there,
I'm thinking of switching to Telus but I can't find any answer if I can get the Optik app on a Firestick? Anything else I should consider besides a Firestick. Google Chromecast is going away so that's not a good solution.

Great news! As a longtime Telus TV, Internet and Mobility customer this is great to be able to add to my viewing options.
Will the FireTV app allow me to view/stream recordings from my PVR?
You can sideload the app onto the Firestick and it works. I don't know why Telus refuses to make it available on the amazon store... all talk, but no action for years. Bell TV and Shaw's Ignite TV are on there.
Where would one find a compatible *.apk file to sideload? I've tried a couple but after installing them the app won't open and just crashes.
Dang just signed up for two years got my spare TV’s outside and extra sporting game tv in basement both have firestick and Telus + app isn’t available. Had I known I wouldn’t have signed up with Telus. Oh well lesson learned back to Shaw in 2 years.

Thanks for letting me know I’ll have to look into that not sure what side load means lol. But I was able to also just dL the Sportsnet and TSN and CTV apps which will work for my sports so that’s great. Sent from my iPhone
- Does anyone know if Telus has any plans for a Amazon Firestick app. Surprised they don't have one already as soo many people have it.

I would imagine it will likely come at some point and time. Once everything is running perfect on android tv, Apple TV.

A TELUS TV+ app for Firestick is on the horizon. I can't elaborate on details about timing other than we should have something to share at some point in the new year. There are a TON of different Fire devices, from TVs to sticks to cubes, and different policies on FireOS upgrades depending on the device, so testing and QA is complex.
There appears to be no way to install the Optik TV app on a firestick. i have tried every trick I can think of. With a lot of people including myself signing up for Starlink for our RV's this is a pain in ass. I notice the competitor, Shaw has an app built in so does bell with a firestick. This gives them a competitive advantage. I do not want to switch, as I get an employee discount on Telus and it's a matter of loyalty, They really need to get their act together. A lot of us are getting Starlink for our RV's and want to use Optik without having to hook a laptop up to use it. How hard is it to get their app added to Amazons app store.
