When I first saw these new digital TV boxes being offered, I want to transition my older Optik box over to it because of the capability of the cloud recordings and the ability to watch those recordings on mobile devices. But when I noticed it only offered Google Assistant for smart home compatibility, I decided not to transition to it. I've used Google Assistant extensively in the past and had nothing but issues with it, especially in terms of playing music. Now that my wife is dependent upon it (as she's not that tech savvy), I'd rather not move back to Google Assistant.

 

Will Amazon Alexa compatibility be offered in the future?

    Hi Nollind , we currently do not have plans to expand to Alexa, but I will log this request and let the development team know the next time we revisit device expansions.

      top right corner of your post, a down arrow pull down menu, edit

        That's actually the first thing I did. Tried it two or three times. No edit option there whatsoever.

        Today however when I look at both of my previous posts above, they show an edit option on the drop down arrow.
