Series recordings Global BC News 104 @ 11PM

So I missed a recording of the news last night, not a big concern but using this as an example I checked my Global 104 11pm series scheduled and find Dec 2 & 3rd only set to record. Global news is 11PM eevry day.

I proceed tonight on 22nd and every night to Dec 1st first asking for series recording, It says set, but not shown on the schedule, so each night set individual. Now I have separate daily recordings from 22 Nov to 1st Dec. scheduled.

Why is it not considered a series all the time?
