Samsung Sound bar
Got a Samsung sound bar hooked to a Samsung tv but can’t get the volume to work on the telus remote. Any suggestions
Optical out on some Samsung TVs are fixed volume. Try using HDMI connected to the HDMI (ARC or eARC) port on the TV if it supports it.

- Yup i add same issue. Make sure you use the ARC hdmi port.

How is the sound bar connected to the TV?
- It’s connected through an optical cable from the sound bar to tv

Does the volume control work for the speakers of the TV itself, when not connected to the sound bar? If so, look more closely at the sound bar settings, as the optical connection should simply replace the speakers of the TV, as far as Optik is concerned.
