Optik Remote Not Controlling Volume on 2024 Samsung S95D OLED TV

I bought a new Samsung S95D OLED (2024) tv and a Bose sound bar. The TV and the Optik Slimline 2 remote worked together perfectly until I trying programming the sound bar to also work with the Optik remote. After not being successful in getting the remote to work with the sound bar the volume control stopped working between the Optik remote and the Samsung tv. I tried programming all 22 Samsung codes list on the Telus website to get the volume control working but NONE worked. I also tried the 0029 code search function on the remote and the code it came up with doesn’t work either. Does anyone know of the actual code for this tv.

  • Sound bars are really hit or miss as newer ones may not use the same code sets as past ones. If you have tried the soundbar codes already then you'll need to reset the remote and then redo the Samsung codes.

    Full Slimline 2 reset:

    1. Press and hold the Options button for at least 3 seconds. The green LED next to the remote’s Optik power button will flash twice if successful
    2. Enter the code 9999 using the remote's keypad. The green LED next to the remote’s Optik power button will again flash twice if successful, indicating that the remote has been reset to the original factory settings.
