My Favourite channels
why do I have to keep choosing my Favourites after turning off the TV , when I turn on the TV the guide is back to My Subscribed channels

LOL, oh, you thought it would stay on favorites.
Next you will tell us if you mute the sound the up/down arrow will mute it higher or lower.

Started with subscribed again. If this what was fixed in February cannot be fixed again I pity the future of Telus TV.
- Here is another strange thing When I set to my favourites and us the guide to scroll up or down all is good If I use the channel up button it goes to a channel not in my favourites Example I have channel 101, 104 if I am on either of those channels & use the up down button it goes to channel 102. It never did that in the old systemGary

Just for fun, has anyone met someone who admitted to being a Telus tech working on this simple issue?
- I think the issue is the Smart TV since it can be opened on Goggle Tv etcGary
After many months I would like the public to know that nothing has changed with the “my favourite channel” issue. It still does not work properly. Occasionally I will see them for a fleeting half-second when I go to the guide, but it almost immediately reverts to “my subscribed channels” and I have to change it manually. Telus is obviously not interested in improving their service or pleasing their customers.
- Ditto The “Technicians” must have something much more difficult to solve. Before all this Smart TV STUFF getting My Favourites wasn’t something I thought about I chose the Channels & there it was. I wonder if I can Block all the channel I didn’t want in the first place is a possibility Then maybe my favowould be the only optionGary
Ah the details, yes fibre to the main room and copper feed from there will limit.
Are you in the lower mainland of Vancouver? Telus has a running promo to retro fit fibre into old buildings at no cost to anyone until you opt in for services like you have.

Hi GAM are you testing via ethernet cable or Wi-Fi?
Telus has gone pretty close to having No Customer service.Sad but true. The support people are just as tired as we are that the same issue is not fixed. Telus support is not getting support from Telus head office. JMO
Last night I shut TV off with My Favorites chosen, this morning it started with My Favorites. Not at all sure why the on/off these past few days flutuates.
I checked my scheduled recordings and there were two from subscribed channels. Have made those favorite channels.
My thought is the act of recording is switching from favorite to subscribed. Time will tell.
