Am I forced to watch commercials on the new Digital TV Box?

Currently I have the 4 year old Telus DVR Box where the programs are recoded locally and I can skip thru the commercials during playback ... I just renewed my contract and was sent the newest TV Digital Box ... some of the features look good however since it now stores everything in the cloud I am wondering if you are now forced to watch the commercials like Telus forces you to do on a Restart of a show in progress (skip is disabled) ... So, my question is ... on a recorded show will I still be able to skip thru the commercials?

    Yes, you can fast forward as much as you wish with cloud recordings on the Android based boxes.

    Not all but most can fast fwd thru commercials.

    And not all shows on one channel. Telus says provider decides
