With smartwear security, when the battery gets low do I have to buy the charm again? Or is it covered by the subscription?

The charms are covered by 1-year warranty and the battery can last up to two years. The battery life depends however on usage. Since the battery is not chargeable or replaceable, the purchase of a new charm is required once the battery is running low. Check out the article here for more details.
