How do i delete youtube?
My kids are always sneaking onto YouTube. I tried "disabling" but all they have to do is click the app and re-enable it and it's back up and running withing moments. My children do not need unfettered access to the cess pool of the internet. How do I permanently delete the app?
Hi Carrkb There currently isn't an option to delete apps that come pre-installed on the box. You can create a kids profile where app access isn't allowed. Please see the instructions here for "user profile on Optik TV and Pik TV"

I just found the solution!!!!!!!
Go into your profile on the Optik TV YouTube app.
Go to settings.
Enter in a parental code.
Then go back to the profiles screen and add a kids profile. You will need to set it up and then go into your app on your phone and computer and set up that they cannot search etc.
Then exit YouTube on the TV.
Go back in, your kids account should be there. I named our Kids account Kids.
They can only click on that and they do not have the search function. It's going to get very boring very quickly.
Then if they want to switch profiles, they would need to know the code, which they don't.

- We reported this problem years ago. Why telus technicians couldn’t do this simple issue, the kids would be sitting in front of the TV whole day.
