Roaming charges even roaming is turned off
I was in the flight with my roaming turned off airplane mode on. I got charged by Telus for roaming! It was definitely not the case that my roaming was on and I forgot to turn it off. I suspect My Telus app on my phone uses data while you are traveling abroad and charges you for the roaming! This number called me about 5 minutes ago and was very confused. Said hello, claimed they were from Telus, asked how I was doing, I replied "doing ok" and then they hung up. I've bought an Iphone 4s with no Activation Lock nor is it Blacklisted. Under Carrier it shows Carrier 14.0 and refuses to take any of my Sims (I don't have a Telus one). After a quick check online it came back as beeing Locked to Telus. I tried unlocking it via their Live Assistant, which prompted me to call Telus. I tried that but couldn't get trough because I don't have an Account, nor do I want one, since I'm from Italy and Telus isn't active there. So now I'm stuck here. My phone died and has been plugged in for 30 minutes, not a single percentage. I am using the same cord I have used since I have bought it, which has had no problems charging it before. My phone shows the white charging symbol but when i try to turn it on it immediately shuts off. Telus' very helpful virtual assistant told me to download a battery diagnosis app...which I can't because, you know, my phone is dead. The next option was to have a Telus agent call me, which again, I can't do. What are my other options? I was recently in Europe and returned home to Canada. We still have active 30 day Europe Easy Roam Travel Passes on our accounts. We are heading back to Europe again. I’ve been told that they will expire partway through this next trip. (Which is shocking since once of our phones was on airplane mode for the first three days of the trip 🤷♀️ ). I want to add new 14 day travel passes but when I search in the app to do so it says I already have a pass added. Is there anyway to do this?Overpaid account help
One month ago I closed my account with Telus. When paying the last bill, we have over paid and now comes up that account has credit. I have tried both the chat and the phone line and can’t get ahold of a rep to actually help me with this issue. The bot chat is absolutely useless if you don’t have an account. And I 1-888 number isn’t working. I paid 2 days late on Feb 12, 2026 for my prepaid plan instead of Feb 10 and the account has not been activated; I can't use the phone. It is impossible to talk to anyone, and I don't know how to use the credit that I have of 100 CAD, so that it can be transferred to pay for the prepaid plan for 365 days . I really need the phone and for 1 and a half months I could not receive any messages or calls. I currently have a credit balance of 100 at TELUS and prepaid plan for 365 days is also 100 . Hi everyone, I’m facing an issue with Telus billing and wanted to see if anyone here has experienced something similar or knows how to resolve it. Account Number: <Admin edit: removed personal info. Please see house rules.> After speaking with a Telus agent, I returned my phone as instructed. According to the tracking information, the device was received on March 17. However, I am still being charged for the device. I followed all the steps provided by Telus in good faith, so this is really frustrating. Has anyone dealt with this before? How long does it usually take for them to update the account and remove charges? Also, any advice on the best way to escalate this if it doesn’t get resolved soon would be appreciated.
