Upgrading to new phone but keeping current plan

Hi, I currently have a 2018 model Samsung A8 and I want to upgrade to a new phone, either Samsung A15 or Samsung A54, but stay on my current plan of 250gb at $85/month. I'm new to this so I need to ask. Can I purchase one of these phones at Best Buy and, after transferring my files to the new phone, move my sim from the A8 to the new model and continue on with my current Telus data plan? Thank you.
