Prime Video on TELUS - December 2022
December is here already, friends! There's nothing better than kicking back after a great day and checking out that new movie your coworkers keep talking about, or checking out the latest episodes of your favourite series. Prime Video is the place to be for both, and next month brings a slew of great new content to dig into as well as the return of one of the best action spy thriller series of all time. I can't wait!

Jack Ryan (Season 3)
After a long three year wait, Jack Ryan returns! Closing out the year in style, the return of John Krasinski's much-loved action hero ranks near the top of my must-watch holiday list. In this sure-to-be-awesome season, Jack Ryan finds himself at the centre of a thrilling conspiracy which has potentially devastating consequences. At the end of the last season, Ryan took down the corrupt Venezuelan president who was responsible for the death of Ryan's friend and mentor, Senator Jim Moreno. Now, Jack Ryan is working again for the CIA in Rome, when he's tipped off that a long-defunct secret plan to restore the Soviet Empire is resurrected. When he tries to confirm this tip, he's implicated in a larger conspiracy and accused of treason! The chase is on...
How incredible does that look? If there's one thing this series has had thus far, it's not just taut storytelling and surprises around every corner...but gritty, realistic action that puts you right in the middle of the fray. I can't wait to see how Jack Ryan gets out of this one, and there's nothing better than a hero on the run. Just in time for that holiday binge session, all eight episodes of the third season of Jack Ryan are set to drop on Prime Video December 21. You have time to catch up if you haven't been watching. The English
I am loving The English so far, and if you watch this trailer you'll see why. I'm a massive fan of the Western genre and love new twists on the usual tropes (i.e. the recent amazing series The Outer Range) and The English is full of them. Emily Blunt stars as Lady Cornelia Locke, an Englishwoman in 1890 looking for revenge on the man she sees as responsible for the death of her son. She meets up with an ex-cavalry scout with whom she discovers a possible shared history, and they set off North to track down their targets.
As Locke and Spencer, the scout she befriends, cross the violent landscape towards the town in Wyoming where their targets lie, they come across a myriad of dangerous and fascinating characters. I'm about halfway through this all-too-brief six episode series and so far it's a knockout. It's a very visually striking series, and with some seriously compelling performances, I've really become attached to these characters. There's plenty of action and gorgeous cinematography here for hardcore or casual Western fans, and you'd do yourself a favor to check out The English on Prime Video right now! Highly recommended!
