Netflix Twitter.JPG

Hey everyone! Hope you're doing well. With the summertime in full swing, there's nothing better after a long day than kicking back and digging into that new series you've been waiting for, or grabbing a snack and checking out a great new movie. Well, Netflix agrees and July's lineup proves it. Let's check out what's heading our way in July as well as what I'm hooked on now. Remember, it's never been easier to add NETFLIX to your Optik TV package, and you can see how to do that at our website!

You can also subscribe to Netflix as part of our awesome Stream+ package to get Netflix Premium, Apple TV+ and discovery+ all at a discounted rate!

Coming To NETFLIX in July

  • July 1 - Stranger Things - Season 4 (Volume 2)
    • The thrilling conclusion to the penultimate season for the Hawkins crew.
  • July 14 - Resident Evil (Season 1)
    • One of the biggest video game horror series ever finally gets its first full Netflix show.
  • July 22 - The Gray Man
    • Summer blockbuster thriller starring Ryan Gosling, Chris Evans, and Ana de Armas.

Most Anticipated

Stranger Things - Season 4 (Volume 2)

Is there any doubt that the final two episodes of this season is my 'most anticipated' choice? After the first 7 episodes dropped a short while ago, it was clear to everyone that binged through it that the Duffer Brothers weren't holding anything back. The hype after the extended delay between seasons was through the roof, but these first extended episodes delivered. Eleven, Hopper, and everyone else need to face their ultimate test against the evil Vecna and I cannot wait to see how it all goes down.

Does that look incredible or what. This season has definitely ramped up the horror feel, and it looks like it's all coming to a head in the biggest way that only Stranger Things can deliver. Don't fear that there are only two episodes remaining, because they're feature length! Episode 9 runs for 1 hour and 25 minutes, and the final episode clocks in at an almost unfathomable 2 hours and 30 minutes long! So you know where I'll be this Canada Day. Don't miss it!

What I'm Watching Now

The Floor is Lava (Season 2)

We can all agree that there's a lot to watch these days, and sometimes the best thing to end a night of solid binge watching is a good old palette cleanser. A show to wrap your night up on a lighter note and send you off to bed laughing about what you just witnessed. Enter: the second season of the ridiculously fun Floor is Lava. If you didn't catch the first season, fear not...it's still there for you if you want to start from the beginning. Oh, and we've all played this game as kids...just not like this. In a giant room with a Netflix budget.

You can't tell me that doesn't look fun. And as I wrap up the last few episodes of this season I can vouch...it is. Teams scale almost insurmountable obstacles to win cash prizes and avoid the (actually not burning) lava. It makes for hilarious summer nighttime viewing and you'll have a blast. The best thing is that you can check out any episode in any order...it's a riot. Be sure to check it out!
