📺 Most Anticipated📺
The Tomorrow War
There's nothing better than a summer night blockbuster movie, and it looks like Amazon Prime Video agrees. One of the year's most anticipated movies is almost here, and it's only a few days away! The Tomorrow War starring Chris Pratt, Yvonne Strahovski, and JK Simmons is streaming July 2 and from what I've seen of it so far, it should be at the top of everyone's must-watch list.
Set in the current year, The Tomorrow War sees time travelers from 30 years in the future arrive in the present with a sinister message: Earth has been invaded and humans are quickly losing the battle against the alien invaders. Humanity's only hope lies with more soldiers and scientists from today being sent back to the future (see what I did there?) to help. Definitely an intriguing premise.
That looks awesome! I'm a massive sci-fi fan, and always feel that the best movies are those that have sci-fi elements but that which are rooted in real emotions and human troubles. To see the lengths that a father will go to save his daughter and others makes for compelling viewing. It's also good to see Skydance involved, and with a bigger budget and top tier cast, this is sure to be a great time. I can't wait to kick back and see what happens!
🎞 Currently Watching 🎞
One of the best things about Amazon Prime Video is how many seasons of great shows there already are to binge on. Whether you've always been meaning to catch up on a show, or heard good things but never started...Amazon Prime Video has you covered. Let's take a look at a series that I'm currently hooked on.
Bosch (Season 7)
The seventh and final season of the smash detective series Bosch is finally here. After a short delay due to COVID-19, we can finally sink our teeth into the ending of what is easily the best series since The Wire (yeah, I said it). Titus Welliver is back as hard-nosed homicide detective Hieronymous 'Harry' Bosch, and the rest of the stellar cast is back for one last go round as well. With them comes what you expect from this show; top tier acting, dynamic storylines, and new cases to solve.
You best believe I burned through this final season in a matter of days, and it did not disappoint. The cases in this final season really hit home, and when the criminals come after Bosch's daughter, Maddie...you know Harry will stop at nothing, no matter the cost. If you're caught up on this fantastic series, you know what I'm talking about so be sure to see how everything ends for Harry. Oh, and don't be too saddened that this is the final season...a quick Google search will alleviate your concerns. (spoiler: there are more seasons with Harry on the very near horizon!)
The final season (as well as the first six seasons) are streaming now on Amazon Prime Video. Don't miss it!
