Hi, I’m having trouble getting inbound connections to work on my TELUS home internet, and I’m wondering if I might be behind CGNAT. I noticed that a traceroute shows a 100.122.x.x address on an early hop, which made me think my IPv4 might be behind shared carrier NAT. Is there a way to confirm whether my connection is using CGNAT, and if so, can TELUS provide a public IPv4 address?38Views0likes1CommentBoost7 10Gig port
I was upgraded to 3Gig service, and the tech came out to install the new NAH and Boost7 AP. He told me Telus has been having issues with the 10Gig port on the Boost7 and to use the 2.5Gig port instead. I did notice faster speeds on the 2.5Gig port than on the 10Gig port. Is this a known issue, as I'd like to get my full 3Gig speeds to the AP?47Views0likes1CommentHow do I port forward?

Has anyone got Internet Backup to work? https://www.telus.com/en/internet/internet-backup We are currently in a 9+ day internet outage due to a fire damaging equipment on our street. Had a tech visit and also spent almost 3 hours on the phone with various Telus agents. They were not able to resolve. I downloaded the Telus Smart Home app and tried to configure Internet Backup but it says I have an incompatible router. I have a network hub and wifi 6 router. I read that should be able to configure even after the outage. I am guessing someone should be able to resolve, but not sure how to get in contact with them. Has anyone successfully configured and used this feature? Thanks176Views0likes7CommentsSubject: Request for a Fair Renewal Offer for a Long-Term TELUS Customer
Dear TELUS Customer Care Team, I am writing regarding my TELUS account. Previously, this account XXXXXXXXX was under my wife’s Neha, and it is now registered under my name Vikas account XXXXXXXXX ( Since4 plus year with telus). Our family has been a TELUS customer for many years, and we have consistently paid our bills on time. My current two-year contract ends 18th of August. However, I was informed that TELUS does not have a better plan or any meaningful offer available for a long-standing customer like me. I find this extremely disappointing. After maintaining a loyal relationship with TELUS for so many years, I expected the company to recognize that loyalty by offering a competitive renewal plan. It feels as though the time and commitment we have invested as TELUS customers have not been valued. I respectfully request that you review my account and provide your best available plan, including any loyalty, retention, or renewal offers. If no reasonable option is available, I will unfortunately have to consider transferring my services to another provider. Please treat this matter seriously and respond with a clear written resolution. Sincerely,73Views0likes1CommentEarly cancellation fee due to student residence restriction
Hello Telus Community, I am currently under a two-year agreement for TELUS PureFibre, and I have been happy with the service. However, I will be moving into a student residence at the end of July. The residence provides its own internet service for residents, and separate internet installations from outside providers are not permitted. Because of this restriction, I am unable to continue using my current TELUS PureFibre service at my new residence. I contacted TELUS support to ask about my options. I was informed that I could transfer the service to another eligible address, but I do not have another residence where I can actually use and maintain the service. I was also informed that an early cancellation fee would apply. I understand that early cancellation fees are normally part of the agreement. However, I would like to ask whether my situation could be reviewed as a special circumstance or exception. I am not cancelling because I no longer want TELUS service. I would prefer to remain a TELUS customer if there were a practical way to continue my current service. The issue is that my new residence has restrictions that prevent me from using my current service. Has anyone experienced a similar situation, or could someone from TELUS advise whether this type of case can be reviewed? Thank you!Solved109Views0likes1CommentConnect App doesn't pause
Have been an optik internet customer for a few years, but just tried to use the app for the first time 2 days ago because I want to be able to pause the kids internet at night since it's summer and they go to bed later than me. I can login to the app, it sees my Modem/Network Access Hub (Technicolor NH20T) and Boost Wi-Fi 6 (Arcadyan Boost 2.1), and shows the connected devices list. But when I try to pause one of the devices I get the error "Oops Your modem can only pause a maximum of 0 devices. Please unpause some devices and try again." I have tried doing a pinhole reset on the modem and on the boost then uninstalling and reinstalling the app. Once the app eventually found the modem online again and I tried to pause something again and got the same error. Called customer support, after an hour on the phone she was stumped and said she'll call me back (with no reference number or anything, I honestly didn't think she would) and she did call and leave me a message about 4 hours later saying this is a known issue and they are working on a solution and they will send out an update when it's fixed (when? how will I know?). Does anybody have any information to corroborate or contradict this? Or any suggestions for me?253Views0likes9CommentsTelus Boost Wi-Fi 7 paired with Boost 6E Lite
I recently upgraded to Telus 1.5 Gig internet along with the Telus Boost Wi-Fi 7, paired with 2 Boost 6E Lite units. The technician told me there is currently no Boost Wi-Fi 7 Lite. Is that correct? Also, am I right in understanding that I only get Wi-Fi 7 coverage near the main Boost Wi-Fi 7 unit, while the areas covered by the two Boost 6E Lite units are limited to Wi-Fi 6E? I am trying to understand the setup for future device upgrades.Solved213Views0likes1CommentShould the TELUS boosters connect to B20T or NAH
Hello: I currently have TELUS Purefiber 250 subscription and our existing set up is a Wifi Hub B20T connected to a Network Access Hub which is then connected to a Nokia ONT where the fiber optic goes in. I am getting a pair of TELUS WIFI boosters (white round disks with ethernet cord and power cords) to enhance the WIFI strength in the basement area of our townhouse. Can you advice where should the first TELUS booster disk be connected to, the B20T, or the NAH? I hope to use our existing Wifi and its password without having to create a new set of WIFI and password. Watching the video, I am still unsure what is appropriate. I still do not have the boosters yet (will get them tomorrow) Thank you.Solved280Views0likes6CommentsCan a TELUS B20T hub serve as a wifi extender?
Hello: I am new to this forum and after having read some posts here I realized that I actually have no idea most of the terms people use so I hope my question is not too naive: I have a TELUS B20T modem and for some unknown reason none of the ethernet jacks in our new home is working (building issues, not network issue since none of our neighbours' ethernet jacks works) so we 100% rely on Wifi. I want to enhance the wifi strength in our basement (the modem sits one floor up) and wonder if I could use an additional B20T as a wifi extender? Does that create more work for me than simply getting some TELUS boosters and what benefits does this have over simply using boosters? If I do choose to use a second B20T as the wife extender, do I need to connect this second B20T to the primary hub's network access hub with an ethernet? Any comments or suggestions will be much appreciated. Thank you.Solved144Views0likes3Comments
