29 TopicsHow to increase download speed of my Laptop
Hi all I just upgraded to 1GB fiber internet plan lately. Telus provided me a brand new Telus 7 Wifi HUb / booster. All my Internet gears are at the basement. If I connect my laptop via wifi next to the Hub at basement, my average download speed is around 770 Mbps. However, I spend most of my time with my laptop upstairs at kitchen area. It is one floor up of my house from the basement. The average download speed is merely at 150-180 Mbps. May I know what should I do to increase the download speed upstairs ? Should I get Telus Wifi 6 booster ? Please kindly advise.50Views0likes3CommentsHow do I order a wifi pod?
I've tried messenger - they directed me to customer service. I've tried chat - unable to help me. I've been on hold / passed from department to department for coming up on 2 hours. I just want to add wifi extenders / pods to my service. Shouldn't be that difficult.49Views0likes3CommentsWi-Fi 7 booster (B30A) bridge/AP mode
Hi all, Is it possible to set the Telus Wi-Fi 7 booster (B30A) to bridge/AP mode? I already set the NH20A to bridge mode, plugged my Unifi router to it and my network is routed by the Unifi device. However, when I connect the booster to Unifi, the booster is providing its own IPs to wired and wireless clients. And in settings menu it literally says Operating Mode: Router. How do I set the booster to bridge/AP mode? Thanks!188Views0likes6CommentsWi-Fi 7 Booster as a regular AP
Hi all, I got 3 gbps service installed today and received a Wi-Fi 7 booster as well. I set the NH20A to bridge mode on the 10 gbps port and my Unifi router is acting as the router, which is nice. However, the remaining ports on the NH20A are not giving away Unifi's IP address, still generating 192.168.0.0 addresses. Is this normal? Is there any way to make these ports to work as a regular switch? I connected the Wi-Fi 7 booster to my network. It's receiving an IP address from Unifi but it's not accessible on that address. When I connect to the booster's AP, it's giving out 192.168.0.0 IP address. Is there a way to make it work as a regular AP and let the Unifi router provide IP addresses to clients? Thanks all!106Views0likes1CommentSmart Hub temporarily blocked
I received an email from Telus at 5:08AM indicating that they detected my Smart Hub in a non designated location. The Smart Hub had not been moved, and when we got up at 8:00AM, the internet was working fine. This was in Strathcona County, AB, and I would like to understand what would cause this detection when the Hub was not moved.Solved50Views0likes1CommentSetup Boost Wifi 6 Lite as an access point to extend existing LAN?
Hey all, got fibre installed 10 days ago and finally getting to cleaning up what the tech left me with. He was great, but custom lan setups aren't his job. Currently my NAH connects to my router (Asus RT-AC86U) that is aptly handling all my family's routing needs, including 2 Telus TV Digital Boxes over ethernet. Documentation (online or otherwise) is quite light as I suspect Telus wants it to be the centre of the universe and not really tinkered with by most users. Can I just factory reset it, connect it to a Lan port on my existing router, and it will figure out that I want it to be another AP to extend my existing SSIDs? For no reason, I can't login anymore to the Telus Connect app. It keeps saying "we are unable to login in at this time, please try again later.". It was working fine before. I've tried everything, clear the app cache and data, uninstall and reinstall the app, I also rebooted the modem router, but nothing works. This really sucks because I can't control anymore the internet schedule time for my kid. I really wish we could have a web interface for the app as an alternative.72Views0likes1CommentConnecting Arcadyan PRV65B to TP-Link Deco AX3000 X50
Hi all, I’m setting up my Telus Arcadyan PRV65B Wi-Fi hub with my Deco X50 mesh. With bridge mode off, the Deco works perfectly, I get strong, fast wifi throughout the house. I want the Deco to manage routing, so I switch the Arcadyan to full bridge mode. When I do, wifi drops completely on the Deco: the light flashes blue and yellow during setup but ends up solid red. I’ve set VLAN ID 35, priority 0, and tried cloning the Arcadyan’s MAC to the Deco. My in-wall Ethernet ports work fine. Tried power cycling and hard resetting both. Tried wiring the Deco into all 4 ports. The top light on the Arcadyan (Wi-Fi) is red, but the front internet light is green so bridge mode to be works correctly. I can attest to this as my smartTV is hardwired and connected with no issue. What am I missing, and how can I get the Deco to handle routing correctly to get the wifi working?90Views0likes2CommentsLatency/Packet Loss to Access Hub / Router
Hi all I have Telus fiber and it has been pretty much fine for ~1 year, but getting connection issues today. Figured I would ask the community before reaching out to CS, have seen lots of helpful posts. I have the white square Network Access Hub (NH20A) as well as the small Boost 2 router(?), and have been getting huge latency spikes and packet loss basically leading to a complete disconnect for ~1 minute. My wifi connection to the router remains at full strength. An example of this happening below, with charts showing constantly pinging the Network Access Hub and the Boost 2: Access Hub: latency up to 2650ms with 100% packet loss for 1-2 minutes Router: latency up to 520ms with 100% packet loss I've tried restarting both -- any other ideas before I reach out to CS?
