When I use the Restart show feature in TelusTV+ app on Apple TV, I will receive a "Playback Error" and this will also happen when watching recordings. Why? I've noticed I'll keep receiving this error every 40 seconds or so. This has been happening for some time and there is no resolution. I have tried deleting the app, restarting the device, removing the TV Provider option in Apple TV. I've rebooted the ONT (NH20A) and the Booster. Nothing works. I have multiple times opened settings, turned on closed captions, opened display settings and set caption preferences the way I would like: small font, 25% opacity on background. The example shown in settings would be perfect, IF the settings were applied when returning to live TV. Default of large font, white font on opaque black background interferes with decent program viewing. How to get the captions settings as set to apply to live TV? Reposting this a year later, still having the same UX issue on my Apple TV 4k gen3 with the telus streaming app. I recall someone saying it was fixed, perhaps it was in a build but since has been removed? Here's what I'm having a problem with: In "Guide" my time hops around (left and rigth) when scrolling down. For example... I open "Guide", I want to scroll down to see what's on at 4pm, in about 3-4 rows, I'm already at 8am now. I think these blocks should not cause me to jump backwards and forwards. It's a frustrating experience and I so badly wish it could just work the way it should work. We got a great deal from Telus for our home service renewal - kudos to customer loyalty. However, we are over 5 weeks past renewal and over 12 hours of Tech support calls plus numerous chats and emails and being charged personally to sign up personally to Disney - and Telus still CANNOT fix the subscription issue. I just spent over 2 hours in another hold and wait call - only to have the agent put me on hold and then disconnected the call and not call back!! Horrified by Telus support. Hello. I have had Optik TV for over 2 years, with Telus Pure fibre 1gig internet. I use the newer style smaller cloud based TV box, connected via wifi. In the first 2 years I had optik TV I had Disney+ and it worked fine without issue. During that time, we cancelled it to cut down on costs. I renewed for another 2 years with Telus, and part of our new plan covers the cost of Disney+. Since I have restarted my Disney+ subscription, I find it lags durning playback. It’s very jittery. I also use Netflix, Apple TV, Amazon Prime, and Crave. None of the other apps have an issue. Live TV also seems to be fine. It’s just Disney+ that has this issue. I tried to uninstall and re-install the app, but the Telus Optik box won’t allow it to be deleted completely. It allows me to uninstall updates, which I did, and then re-installed them, and still had the same issue. I’ve lowered the playback quality settings on the app, and still it jitters. I was trying to watch a movie today and it was almost unwatchable. Has anyone else had this problem specifically with Disney+ on the Telus box. I note that Telus is currently offering several free preview channels, which include CTV Comedy and CTV Drama. Looking at the offerings on both of these channels over a three week period, I am utterly astounded. CTV Comedy is offering ONLY episodes of "The Big Bang Theory", 24/7. CTV Drama is offering ONLY episodes of "Gilmore Girls", 24/7. No other shows are on offer. Who in their right mind wants to watch 48 episodes of one show every 24 hours? Surely this cannot be a teaser to get people to subscribe to these channels? What is Telus, and CTV, even thinking? I was never a fan of Big Bang Theory, as the insidious and horrific laugh track invades every second of the show; I do not want to hear it! I will not subscribe to any of these channels. Perhaps offer them at other times of the year, when their programming is more varied. When I submit my address on the telus.com website it says Telus TV+ is available and can be ordered now. After I submitted my order request, the salesperson that called me said their system shows that Telus TV is not available in Ottawa. Either the website is wrong or the salespeople they have calling customers are wrong. Recently I upgraded from my TELUS PVR to the TELUS Digital Box. A few days later, the recordings and schedules from the PVR were copied to the cloud and made accessible on the Digital Box. Going forward, I have made new recordings and scheduled future recordings from the Digital Box. However, on my Android tablet and smart phone, the TELUS TV+ app displays the message "no recorded content" under the Recorded tab. Under the Scheduled tab, there are no entries shown for recording single shows. There are several entries for recording series but they all show the recording time as 4PM and the message "No episodes available in the next 12 days". I have reset the Digital Box a couple of times. On my Android devices, I deleted the cache and data before uninstalling the TELUS TV+ app and re-installing it. I have done this multiple times without success. Does anyone have any ideas on how to get the TELUS TV+ app on my Android devices to reflect the same recording information that's showing on the Digital Box?146Views0likes2Comments
