Hi, I have been with Telus on Purefibre Gigabit for over 5 years and every time I grind ranked in Apex Legends I feel like I have been at a disadvantage. Enemies would be skipping frames/teleporting, I would be getting shot around corners, etc. The ping is normally within a reasonable range, but fluctuating a lot - between 19-50 ms on US-West servers. My PC has been wired with ethernet this whole time, so the ping should not be fluctuating this much. I know it is a routing issue on Telus' end, and not the game servers, because I tried playing on the same ranked server the other day using a cellular data tether from my phone - even though the jitter of cellular data was pretty bad, my shots were registering much more consistently and I could actually see the entire trajectory of enemies' movement and gunshots. I ran some traceroutes to easo.ea.com, since Apex is an EA game, while connected to my cellular data, and also while connected to Telus. I noticed extremely different routing; while on cellular data, the traceroute finished quicker and with less hops - no pings were timed-out, other than the "Request timed out" ICMP packets. While on Telus, however, the traceroute took 17 hops, and had to go through 9 different zip.zayo.com hops (some with ping time-outs) to finally reach EA. There definitely is a better routing path that should be available, and better peering. I would like to request for Telus support to optimize my peering/routing to EA servers so I can grind ranked smoothly. I love the game and it pains me greatly when the game spikes in latency when engaged in battle, or even when the kill feed updates. I have screenshots of my traceroutes if needed. Thank you.47Views0likes2CommentsFibre issues unresolved
Yesterday someone from the head office, I’m guessing, fixed the agreement of our phones. Thanks! Two problems still remain though. 1st We had on both land lines World 60. One is still on, thanks but the second one doesn’t and it could be ok if we can still make free calls just Canada wide. Calling one of the Telus technicians who had his cell based in Chilliwack Bc cost us 30 cents, call from Vancouver! I don’t understand from the agreement if it’s on or not. 2nd problem : tv box doesn’t work in the basement if any of us is using internet; before with the copper 50 no problem. Why having fibre 250 we incur in this issue?. I see in our plan there is a booster wifi. From what we have now there is only the router/modem but no booster anywhere. Did the technician forgot to leave it? Hope someone could help us to find the answers, thanks35Views0likes2CommentsCGNAT Removal and Public IP Address Assignment, Is This Still Possible?
Hello and Happy New Year. I recently moved and am now managing my own TELUS Fibre connection directly. I am trying to resume hosting small game servers and other self-hosted services that require inbound IPv4 access. I have the Technicolor NH20T Network Hub installed and have configured IPv4 port forwarding and firewall rules correctly. However my WAN IPv4 address is 100.84.x.x which appears to indicate CGNAT. As expected inbound IPv4 connections cannot reach my network. I have contacted TELUS multiple times. One representative confirmed this would require backend provisioning changes and issued a reference number. I later received automated issue resolved messages but no change was applied. A follow-up representative suggested upgrading to a business plan. I clarified that I do not need a static IP or special IPv6 features only a public non-CGNAT IPv4 address. That ticket has now been escalated again to backend provisioning. My questions are as follows. In 2026 can residential TELUS Fibre customers still be assigned a public IPv4 address to allow inbound IPv4 services and port forwarding, or is a business plan now required? If CGNAT removal is not available on residential accounts is there any supported residential option remaining? I understand that bridge mode or third-party routers do not bypass CGNAT as this is a WAN provisioning issue. Older threads exist on this topic but many are several months old so I am looking for updated information. Thank you in advance.Solved798Views0likes13CommentsPoor customer service.
I tried in vane to set up my home voice mail on my acct but was unable to despite standing on my head and giving up my first born. Nothing worked with the online tutorials so I went to the phone call option. I was connected very quickly but I now know that it was more of a sales call than support call. She verified that I had home phone, duh, and said she would help me to get it set up. From that point on she went into sales mode. I do not use Telus mobility because it does not serve Sproat Lake, port alberni. She proceeded to check my home address (not at the lake ) and she confirmed that Telus mobility works at my house, duh. She then checked the lake address I gave and confirmed that telus provides service at the lake. This is not true, I work as a home care RN and we repeatedly have to either drive for service or use their home phone. She argued with me, argue that I was wrong. I told her that I was not switching to Telus mobility and then she proceeded to argue further about how easy the switch was etc. I mentioned that I had phoned for support with my home voicemail and she continued to argue. I told her I would find the support myself. I went on to the Telus site again and found that I don't in fact have voicemail. Why could she not have told me that??? I am on home phone lite. you only get one feature and my feature is call display which I am not going to change with all the spam. I pay $210 for my service and can't even get voicemail. TELUS' support is really just their sales department. Shaw is not looking so bad right now.54Views0likes1Comment192.168.1.254 login.
hello, I am trying to port forward, but the problem is that I cannot access the 192.168.1.254 site as I do not have the admin password for my the access hub. Going into 192.168.1.41 just brings me to my boosters options and I have no way of port forwarding. I am wondering how I am able to find the admin password of the access hub. should I try taking the plastic covering off? Is the password for the access hub hidden inside of it? What other option to retrieve the password do I have?91Views0likes1CommentFire tv Stick HD

Our PVR has again stopped recording these scheduled series even though they are set up correctly. They are set up to record First run only and I have verified that even first run are not being recorded. Recently this happened and I deleted all scheduled recordings and then it started working again. Now, a couple of months later they have stopped recording again. I have re-booted / re-set many times. Unplug then wait for a long time and then plug back in. No change. Anyone have any ideas or knowledge of what might be going on?96Views0likes1CommentFibre: wrong 200$ installation charges debited
We were told by both the technician who came and the agents we talked to before that we were not going to be charged for the fibre installation. We received 6 letters, even registered letters and numerous emails telling us that was a free upgrade from the copper to fibre because Telus is ending copper in our area. From Telus FAQ: Is there any cost to transfer to Telus pure fibre? No, we value your business and this transfer will come at no cost to you. Today I opened the bill and there is a charge of 200$ + taxes !! Shock 😮 I called Telus, after wasting my time trying to dispute the issue on the app that tells you that something went wrong, “maybe is your internet connection “ 😳 More time wasted. The AI agent told me I would get a call back. The first one was canceled because even if I said hello 3 times , the machine hung up on me. I called again and after talking briefly with a human I was put on hold for the dispute team and after 1 hour waiting to talk to someone of the dispute team the call ended. Frustration big time ! Why did I trust all these people?! They all can’t care less and at this point they are just telling you lies Where is Telus? the one that I trusted long time ago , not anymore. But it’s not overSolved147Views1like3CommentsIs T3200M compatible with Wifi Boost 7 (v3.0)?
I currently use the Actiontec T3200M connected directly to the fibre receptacle on the wall (I live in an apartment that is pre-wired for fibre). I recently upgraded to PureFibre Gigabit. The CSR stated that I did not need to upgrade the T3200M. The CSR also sent the new Wifi Boost 7. Following the instructions here: (https://www.telus.com/en/support/article/troubleshoot-your-telus-boost-wi-fi-7?INTCMP=Tcom-support_results-hub_wi-fi-boosters_troubleshoot-your-telus-boost-wi-fi-7), I have connected the boost 7 to one of the yellow network ports on the T3200M. The ethernet ports on both sides blink green. The boost 7's power LED first blinks white and after a few minutes turns green. The T3200M configuration page shows the Boost 7 as a connected device. I can connect devices via wifi to the boost. However, I can't get internet access to work when connected. Instead, I get a "No Internet access" error. I have tried the following: Power cycled both devices. Factory reset both. Disabled wifi on the T3200M. Enabled port bridging on the T3200M. Installed the Telus Connect App. None of the above have worked. So can someone authoritatively state whether or not the T3200M even works with the boost 7?Solved261Views0likes9CommentsMultiple Telus Wifi Boost 7 setup
I got upgraded to new Telus setup with NAH and Wifi Boost 7 booster. Everything is working great except that my 2nd Wifi boost 7 wont work. Its connecting fine and forms a mesh network with the Primary but none of my wireless devices will connect to it. I have tried multiple ways of connecting: Primary-boost and Secondary-boost connected to NAH. Both boost-7 are green and show excellent connectivity and zero issues. Primary-boost connected to NAH and Secondary-boost connected to Primary-boost 2.5G port. Both are green and show excellent connectivity and zero issues. However, none of my laptops, phones, tablets, other IOT devices will connect to the secondary-boost. I called Telus and this is what i am told Telus has upgraded their systems which does not allow them to add a 2nd boost-7 devices for their customers anymore. so if the customer has 2x Telus-Wifi-Boost-7 and even if they form a mesh network and are green, the 2nd one wont work. Customers are now being pushed to use Telus Wifi Plus to get better coverage and pay $10/month for that service. Very disappointed in this. See screenshot of my connectivity below.346Views0likes7Comments
