Well, borderline unplayable in PVE. Completely unplayable in PVP. There are widespread reports of players on Telus fibre internet (a major telecom in the area) getting consistent 'connecting to destiny servers' messages, baboon errors, enemy rubber banding, bad hit detection, etc. https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/260785848?showBanned=0&path=0 https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/260790745?showBanned=0&path=0 I can personally confirm. For the record. I have 1000/1000 internet, connected via ethernet cable, with port forwarding. Running a VPN to Seattle fixes the issue. I have the willingness, wherewithal to do so [even though I shouldn't have to] but a lot of people probably wouldn't even think to try. These issues began on March 17th. I'm not sure what changes Telus made to their network at that time, but they need to fix this asap.Solved7.6KViews3likes6CommentsMissed Appointments & Install issues
Yeah, so I’ve been dealing with TELUS for the past three weeks trying to get my fibre internet installed, and honestly, I’m exhausted. I’ve made 16 calls, spent over five hours on the phone, including being on hold, getting transferred, and waiting for callbacks, and I’m still in the same mess. Customer service has actually been great. The managers I’ve spoken to have been really helpful, and I’ve been patient and polite because I know it’s not their fault. They understand the frustration, and I appreciate that. The problem is the third-party installation technicians TELUS has hired. These guys have straight-up lied twice. They marked the appointments as “customer didn’t answer the phone” or “didn’t answer the door,” even though I have cameras around my house. I checked the footage, and they never even showed up. On top of that, they put in the notes that they stayed at my property for two hours, which is obviously a lie. They basically got paid for doing absolutely nothing. Meanwhile, I’ve had to take time off work just to be home for these appointments, only for no one to show up. And it’s not like I haven’t been flexible. I’ve had seven different appointments scheduled, rescheduled, and shuffled around because TELUS keeps calling me, saying, “Oh, we can move it up a day” But every time the day actually comes, nothing happens. To make it worse, when I did manage to get a technician on the phone, he didn’t even care when I told him what happened.I told him that TELUS called me and explained that they canceled my appointment because I supposedly didn’t answer my phone. So I told the technician that I did answer, that I had been waiting, and that I even had camera footage proving no one showed up. His response? “Yeah, OK, that’s fine and hung up.” No apology, no explanation, just complete indifference. It’s been almost a month of dealing with this back and forth,Has this happened to anyone else?1.8KViews2likes2CommentsBoost Wifi7 10G port flashing orange
I recently had 3G internet installed with a new NAH and Boost Wifi7 hub. The hub is connected to the NAH through the 10 Gbps port (or so the installer told me). When I connect by ethernet to the 2.5 Gbps port I am only seeing 1 Gbps speeds. The 10G port on the hub is flashing orange, whereas the 2.5 Gbps and 1 Gbps ports are green. What does the orange flashing mean? Am I not getting full 3G speed to my Wifi hub?95Views1like3CommentsTrying to cancel, Telus makes it near IMPOSSIBLE, why?
Is being unethical like this really worth the hassle it leads to? This only results in CRTC complaints... I’ve been a long time customer at Telus for about 6 to 7 years and possibly experienced 3 or 4 outages since but every time I play Valorant or apex legends the routings to those games are horrendous sometimes I won’t even send the required packets for the server to give me enough updates and it’s not even just Valorant I used a software on my computer called pingplotter which measures packet loss and hops in your network routing and to Apex Valorant Marvel rivals CoD and so many other games but CSGO my graph was green and i was lagging if you want test the same thing download ping plotter set your trace interval to 1 and Focus time to 5 and ping 192.207.0.1 and let me know how your graph looks169Views1like3CommentsMis-selling and Poor Customer Experience
I am writing to raise a formal complaint about the mis-selling of your mobile and home internet services. On 27 Nov, I received a call from your advisor Farheen, who offered a mobile promotion and clearly said it was a Telus offer. She also discussed a home internet bundle and told me she would call back on 28 Nov to complete the setup. I never received any callback. To my shock, I later received an email and SIM card from Koodo, even though I was never informed that the service would be through Koodo. I opened the package assuming it was from Telus, as discussed. Additionally, the home internet plan given is not the same as what was explained on the call. The call on 27 Nov lasted 1.5 hours, and on 3 Dec I spent over 2 hours being transferred between departments without any clear help. This entire experience has been extremely frustrating and stressful. I trusted Telus, and this experience has severely damaged my confidence in your customer service.78Views1like1CommentTechnician appointment
Telus scheduled an appointment for a technician to set up my wifi today (I am in a newer building, with pre-wired Telus setup), for some reason it is not working) from 11 am-1pm. No one showed up. I phoned Telus. I spent three hours on the phone, mostly on hold. The first agent said I "only supposedly" had an appointment, despite a scheduled appointment showing on my account online and despite me receiving numerous texts over the past several days telling me to be home during the appointment time or I would be billed $200. The agent said that in fact no technician had even been scheduled and dispatch had no technician to send out. I requested escalation to a manager, who put me on hold for an hour, then came back to tell me that a technician would attend today. It is now 5:30 pm. How late do technicians work? Why is Telus scheduling appointments that are no-shows? I note that this is an appointment to fix a new Internet service that was supposed to be activated remotely on August 1, but wasn't. I have been waiting every day since then for a Telus technician to show up (as promised by managers). Today was the first scheduled appointment, so I expected a technician to show up. There is no one to call, no one to help. What is going on with Telus?332Views1like2CommentsPurefibre Internet Gigabit and Optik TV Install Nightmare
I'm having a horrible time getting my internet hooked up. Has anyone else had any issues with TELUS technician "no shows"? I have had 3 confirmed appointments booked in the last ten days and each time the technician has failed to show up. TELUS technical support has been no help. I think I've spent more time with them in the last couple of weeks that my own family. The only thing that keeps it fresh is that every time I call TELUS technical support it's like starting from square one. I have to spend ten minutes explaining all of the previous failures of the technical support team, then they apologize profusely, then they tell me the problem has been solved. When I realize problem hasn't been solved, I call back and we start all over. It's an exquisite little dance we repeat over and over again.2.2KViews1like3Comments
