Telus are charging me a fee for equipment that I have already returned 2 months ago. Using the live agent or submitting a dispute ticket doesn't work as it seems like the account have already been flagged as inactive. Can't help but think this is some slimy tactics to not credit back what was on the account?107Views0likes4CommentsTelus TV mini - such a downgrade
Had our 3 old Telus Optik boxes replaced with the minis. What a downgrade: The feed often freezes or just goes blank, particularly when pausing live TV Periodic notifications that the remote has "disconnected" and the whole system becomes non-responsive Severe lag when using the skip forward or backward feature - just feels unstable Cannot extend recordings beyond the pre-determined time (make recording sporting events almost useless) Any suggestions for work arounds - or can we just request that our old (but functional) boxes get returned?517Views1like25CommentsReplacing a dead PVR box should be simple
July 23rd our PVR box (UIW8001) stopped functioning and a reboot resulting in a RED X. Use Telus automated tools to try and resolve. It detected a problem and we needed to call support. Our call to tech support took an hour to be answered and the technician determined the PVR was dead and needed to be replaced. He indicated a replacement was being shipped. On July 27th VIP5662W PVR arrived. Plugged in and it stopped at the "Registration / Activation Code required" screen. Rinse and repeat with automated tool. Call to tech support, another hour+ wait time or callback option in two days!! Spoke with agent, who opened ticket with back office to resolve problem. Was told it would take up to 24 hours and we'd receive text or phone call when resolved. July 28th, no call however VIP5662W would properly boot. However it indicated it could not find PVR. Rinse and repeat with automated tool. August 10th. Called, waited an hour or so again and finally got an agent. He confirmed box should act as PVR, did some troubleshooting without success, so another ticket opened. Again wait 24-48 hours and we'd receive text or phone call when resolved. August 12th, Telus called and indicated old PVR still on account, blocking the new PVR from functioning. Now fixed. Instructed to reboot 3 times. Now back at the "Registration / Activation Code required" screen. Rinse and repeat with automated tool. August 14th, called yet again, long wait time (1 hour vs 15 minutes indicated) to speak to support. Representative tried to resolve without success. He even went as far as telling me to hard reset our network access hub. This was problematic for other household members would had to stop working via Internet connection. Also determined after the fact that all our settings in network access hub were lost. Still no success so maybe refurbished box was the issue. Another one to be shipped. August 18th, new to us UIW8001 (marked Refurbished) arrived. Guess what, when booted it again halted at the "Registration / Activation Code required" screen.106Views0likes9CommentsReturn QuickConnect equipment?
Hello all, I just cancelled my home internet service after the end of my contract, and I got an email saying that I have to return "my TELUS equipment" otherwise I will get charged. However my apartment is QuickConnect enabled and all the equipment were in that box on the wall since day one. I feel like it would make more sense if I put the equipment back in that box rather than shipping it back to Telus since the equipment was never shipped to me from anywhere. Just wondering if anyone know what's the best thing to do in this case?19Views0likes1CommentHow do I port forward?

Hi, I’m having trouble getting inbound connections to work on my TELUS home internet, and I’m wondering if I might be behind CGNAT. I noticed that a traceroute shows a 100.122.x.x address on an early hop, which made me think my IPv4 might be behind shared carrier NAT. Is there a way to confirm whether my connection is using CGNAT, and if so, can TELUS provide a public IPv4 address?38Views0likes1CommentBoost7 10Gig port
I was upgraded to 3Gig service, and the tech came out to install the new NAH and Boost7 AP. He told me Telus has been having issues with the 10Gig port on the Boost7 and to use the 2.5Gig port instead. I did notice faster speeds on the 2.5Gig port than on the 10Gig port. Is this a known issue, as I'd like to get my full 3Gig speeds to the AP?47Views0likes1CommentFiber 5gbps download capped
Just upgraded to TELUS 5gbps fiber internet, download seems to be capped. Searching the forums, seems to be the same issue as below. Fiber X 5 capped at 3250 mbps | TELUS Neighbourhood Speedtest by Ookla Server: Shaw Communications - Edmonton, AB (id: 4242) ISP: TELUS Idle Latency: 1.29 ms (jitter: 0.20ms, low: 1.23ms, high: 1.56ms) Download: 2314.91 Mbps (data used: 4.1 GB) 11.70 ms (jitter: 8.16ms, low: 1.22ms, high: 52.09ms) Upload: 4870.28 Mbps (data used: 4.0 GB) 2.70 ms (jitter: 0.61ms, low: 1.27ms, high: 18.00ms) Packet Loss: Not available. I can also contact support via phone but I am afraid it would be a waste of my time.129Views0likes3CommentsBill on Telus Internet though it is disconnected 6 months back
Hi , I have disconnected my Telus connection 6 months back and i am not using it from past 6 months back. No body responded to me on the customer service for the proper disconnection rituals. Hence i just stopped using it and returned the equipment. But still Telus is sending me emails and messages about i have a due of 2553.71 CAD . There is no justification for this bill also. I have visited multiple Telus stores in Ontario and everybody said they cannot resolve the issue. Asking a question in the forum is the final resort or approach i am taking. As far as i know i have paid all my bills as per my usage. If Telus is not able to track the customers that is not my problem. They said me voice message to call on a particular number ( attached screenshot) if i call nobody will respond . Some weird voice help options will come and thats it the call doesn't go through. Customer service is more than pathetic. I am attaching the required screenshots for the reference . <Admin edit: removed images containing personal information.
