I received a mail from General Credit Services Inc stated that they have been contracted as the authorized collection agency because I own $1919.58 to TELUS CORPORATION PAYROLL I do recognize that the account number shown on the mail is indeed the T-ID I was assigned but I have left Telus more than 2 years ago, and not a single word from Telus, all of sudden I was sent to collection for something I never heard of? I tried to contact Telus to find out what’s going on, but giving that all the number I can find is for customer service and I clearly don’t have any active account so nobody can tell me anything. The nice ladies I had been talking to both assumed this is a scam letter. But given that the T-ID was actually shown on the letter I’m hoping someone from Telus could help me with this please. At least tell me the reason for this not so small amount please. 😭 Thank you very much for your attention to this matter. Rae557Views0likes11CommentsIncorrect Information On Bill Website?
I logged into my account to see that on my bill page it says that I have an overdue bill of 10 days (said it was due on December 2nd) but I paid that bill on Nov 13th. So when I clicked the pay now, as I assumed the website would be correct, I realized that I already paid for the month and I now paid ahead of time for December now. This is more of a notice to the tech side of the webpage but I did not appreciate that jump care only for it to misread my payments. And I am curious if anyone else had this message pop up for them? Thanks!6Views0likes0CommentsTelus customer service lying to customers
Telus has been calling me twice a day to sell the Telus mobility services, ever since I enrolled for Telus home service. Each time it is from a different number hence not possible to screen the calls. They convinced me to consider a discounted connection offer as am a Telus home service customer. Sent me SIM card and promised repeatedly that I have time to consider till the activation of the SIM card. As I will only be charged once the SIM is activated. That was not true. Then they charged me for the unactivated SIM card. I called them and they confirmed the charges are dropped. Again a lie. And now they have sent the case to action collection. Never thought I have to see this day. I would like to complain via this forum as I have been made to believe lie after lie by the on call support. I would like to claim damages and distress caused by Telus with repeated calls and lies. How do you do business if you allow your own customer service to convey lies and misinformation to your own customers? I know how, because you have the market monopoly!113Views0likes4CommentsCollection Agency - Telus Account Error - can I please speak to a human???
Hi There, I have multiple accounts with Telus all of which are fully paid and up-to-date. A collections agency has been contacting me regarding a purported amount owing on a Telus account. I thought it was a scam since all my Telus accounts are fully paid up and have always been. Now it's showing up on my credit rating. After multiple attempts, I finally spoke to a Telus agent who was able to figure out that the Telus Account # that the collections agency is contacting me about appears to be an error (I have another Telus mobility account for the phone number at issue and it is fully paid and in good standing). However, because it is a pre-paid account, the agent said he was a mobility agent (not a pre-paid agent) and so he couldn't help me further. He then tried to transfer me to Telus pre-paid. First I was routed to a store representative, and they told me to call back to 611. I have done that, and I cannot get through to an actual person at Telus pre-paid because Telus' system keeps bumping me to an online assistant. Can someone please message me to get this sorted out.57Views0likes1CommentUnauthorized charges
Hello, I am contacting you because I got charged $900 more than I expected. My internet plan is $40 and this month I just got the bill of $940. Please see the story below and I have also created a post in Reddit. The person named El-Eric suggested that I also create a post here to have in resolved. Day 1: Everything started with an unstable Wi-Fi connection. I phoned Telus, and the CSR said they would try to fix it remotely. They mentioned I might receive a text from their support team confirming it was resolved; if not, they would send a technician the next day to troubleshoot. By the end of Day 1, I never received any text or call—only an email saying a technician would be coming the next day. Day 2: The technician arrived, and we talked about my unstable Wi-Fi. He suggested it might be due to my old modem. He went back to his work truck, replaced it with the newer Wi-Fi 6E modem, and then left. We never discussed any charges, and he never told me I should expect a bill for the visit or the hardware. A couple of days later, I was shocked to receive a $672 bill. For what? I was never told I would have to pay for fixing my Wi-Fi, nor was I told there would be any charges for hardware. Fast forward to a few days ago, I received my actual bill—and the amount was even higher, including a $200 diagnostic fee, bringing the total to around $900. I was never informed about this either. For my ~$40 plan, this is ridiculous. I then contacted the loyalty department, and the representative there was also shocked. She said she needed 2–4 days for her manager to review the call recordings to confirm that I was never advised about diagnostic or hardware fees. I really hope they call me back soon. I also removed my pre-authorized payment to avoid being automatically charged. If you need more information please let me know. Thanks again for taking this case seriously.113Views0likes4CommentsSpecialist appt call. didn’t help me then transferred me to closed department

So I have been receiving mysterious emails from General Credit Services recently, saying I owe Telus $300. At first I thought this was an issue with my internet account, but the account number GCS has does not match that, so now I'm wondering if this bill is from my old mobile phone account? I switched form Telus to Koodo back in January (broke my old phone, decided to replace it, Koodo was cheaper) and I don't have any account info for my old mobility account anymore. I also have not recieved any communication from Telus about owing $300 and I don't remember the Koodo clerk saying anything about that when he moved my account over. Can anyone help me find out about this account number and if I actually owe Telus $300?73Views0likes2CommentsSent my bill to collection agency
Closed my account in 2018 with 0 balance. Got a warning from a general credit Inc saying I owe 107 dollars and it was my second notice today. 7 years later.. Warned if I don't pay, they will report me to credit bureau. How dare telus do this and try to destroy my credit over their own mistake. Completely unacceptable. This is not the way to do business. What is wrong with this company. Absolutely pathetic. Telus if you actually read this, contact me and fix this asap.87Views0likes1CommentWhy did Telus send my outstanding balance to collections before statement due date?
They sent my outstanding balance to collections, effectively screwing my credit, less than one week after I suspended my services. The due date on my final bill, which was never actually sent to me by email OR snail mail, is September 24th. The current billing cycle is for a month that I didn't have any services through them. This is absurd.108Views0likes1Comment
