4K Digital Box Wireless (Solution)

My Optik 4K Wireless Digital Box now is working like a charm:

The first day, I fumbled with the box, something with the initial firmware isn't correct. It freezes some times.

But some one told me to unplug my Wireless Router/Hub/Pods, after that I waited 20 minutes for everything to fully op again.

Then after that, I took my powered down earlier digital box and connected it directly to the port on one of the Pods (Router/Modem).

It downloaded the firmware correctly this time after 10 minutes or 15 minutes of being connected to the Pod Modems. (white cylinder).

"Now the box works great!"

-----------------Side Note-----------------

Also, I turned on CEC feature (last menu tile on the menu settings page, first row) without my TV being ON during that time (because I quickly turned the TV off after applying the feature), that had something to do with the freezing too. (Also my TV brand is not a everyday brand.)

But after I turned OFF the CEC feature through that menu item again, and allowed 3-5 minutes for it to apply and blank screen and boot. "Now the Box doesn't freeze at all." This is in addition to the router plug firmware thingy.

My digital wireless box works great, I enjoy the stunning picture quality that this box gives me. Telus is good. Now it works just like R. provider.

====================

To prevent these issues from the getgo,  don't turn on CEC if your TV is not a major brand, and if you are close to the modem, connect it to the modem for a firmware too also. Thank you.

One add-on:   The CEC has to be turned off from my TV set's menu option using the TV's original remote too, not just in the digital box's menu tile on the last row.  I just tried this again after experimental CEC.  If you don't know what CEC is, just Don't turn it On initially, then you don't have this issue. My TV is an obscure brand. Thank you. Bless you!

I just asked a friend of mine. They have a brand name TV and they followed the brochure of setting up the box within good distance from the Router modem.  They didn't have an issue.  So, please close this thread.  Thank you Team.  Telus is great.  Keep up channel surfing! You go.

This problem of mine was sophisticated, the posts before were layers of abstractions. They might not be the actual thing that had happened. What helped me is a long press of the button on the unit while plugging in power adapter. But that will erase everything. And the long press length you will have to contact support to know. Anyways. Just a tweet about my problems. I wish you resolve your issue either by resetting/replugging or menu options, or firmware restore. Please connect with support. The issue that happen with obscure brand TV is a mystery.  Blessings!  Happy channel surfing. You go! Telus is awesome. You Go Telus. You Go Canada.

Last two bits of tweets:

1. Use Powerline AV Powerline Adapter helps cure reception coverage problem

2. seems like the box doesn't like unpluging cable or swapping new cables, that' mucking with something HD Protection 1005 or something, you just have to leave it and then unplug it if neccesary in a few hours for that protection to time out.

TV service is great, it is something really comforting to me. You go Canada!

Turn out it was a defective unit. Support is sending me a slightly different SKU. I was the few people who had that SKU, and my sweat drops defected it.   All the other four boxes working fine, never had an issue. Thank you! Closing Thread now.  You go Telus, You go Canada!   Keep up the TV watching, and wishing and blessing. You go.
