It's a limitation of the Android TV build running on the PikTV.

Other Android TV boxes (ShieldTV/Mibox) got firmware updates to enable mouse control.

Missing support makes using something like Google Chrome impossible on the PikTV, an limits the box functionality with sideloaded apps.

I don't believe android tv has mouse support outside of web browsers
