Why does TELUS TV use SD trailers for HD assets?

Why does TELUS TV use SD trailers for HD assets? When I look at the trailer of a movie, I assume the quality of the movie is going to be the same as the trailer. When I see a SD trailer with poor video quality, I assume the HD movie will be similar.

Why not use HD trailers for HD movies?

How many people have decided to pass on or not rent an HD movie because of the poor SD trailer?

I can honestly say that I've never made a decision one way or the other based on a movie trailer. That's mostly because I never watch them. I rely on online reviews if I'm indecisive.
