Watching Telus satellite content online or on mobile device

Recently subscribed to HBO on my home telus satellite service to watch this seasons GOT.  My buddy was visiting last week at my work residence (where I don't have cable, telus or otherwise) and he was able to stream GOT via his phone because he subscribes to it via Telus optik services. If memory serves he did it through his HBO app, my TV has built in cast so he was just able to cast it to the TV. 

Can us satellite subscribers do the same thing?

HBO app login credentials are not made available to satellite customers. Telus Satellite is rebranded Bell and they control how the service can be used.

It was looked into, but did not come to fruition.

It's still surprising that the HBO login isn't usable since Bell owns the rights for HBO content in Canada and Bell provides the satellite service.

Money would seem to be the only issue one could assume at this point. It still makes no sense considering all the receivers are controlled by them. It would take no effort to allow Telus customers onto the app login.

If Bell allows their subscribers access, I wonder if a nice CRTC complaint may help get that fixed.
