Watching Netflix on channel 422

I have been watching Netflix lately on channel 422 rather than through my Apple TV. I have my PVR connected to my Denon receiver to get the benefit of 3.1 surround sound. Most of the channels we watch are in the 100-140 range and most always broadcast in 3.1(probably 5.1 for those that use it). However, Netflix through channel 422 does not come through as 3.1as only my centre and front speakers are utilized The sub woofer is not used. Doesn't seem to make much sense that Telus would have this type of setup. I can go back to using my Apple TV but am wondering if anyone has had this issue and managed to resole it.

Hi Doug2,

 

It seems as if the 3.1 (and 5.1) surround sound for Netflix only works on the 4K STBs and not the regular STBs at the moment.
