Just give Telus a call, a frient of mine had the same issue, they sent out a new one to her.

i found a remote that works great for any type of ir protocol the urc-a6

i have many types of devices and it can br programmed tor all of them through the learning process for individual keys if it has not been preprogrammed for the device and it is cheap
