Programming Slimline 2 remote

I am trying to program my Sonos beam to the slimline 2 remote but have been unsuccessful. Can anyone help?

Few, if any sound systems can be added to the Slimline remote. We manage ours through the TV Volume setting, rather than the sound system. Our sound bar / woofer is connected to the TV by optical connection.
