I just got Optic TV installed yesterday and the Installer set up the remote to power on PVR and TV at the same time. Doesn't the PVR need to be on all the time in order to record my series recordings?

Hi there,

No the PVR does not need to be powered on in order to record the programs. It does need to remain plugged in so that it has power, however, the power light does not need to be one. The box will put itself into StandBy mode, which will show the green link light on.
