PVR error

Went to turn on my tv and it said my optic tv box had to initializing but then comes up with a client initialization error. What does that mean and how do I fix it?

Usually means it's not connecting to the modem/internet. Is it a wireless box or one connected to a cable? Are other boxes working?

 

Usual troubleshooting steps for wired boxes, repeat if multiple boxes:

  1. Unplug your Optik tv receiver
  2. Unplug the power adapter from your Telus modem/router. Then plug it back in.
  3. Wait for your modem/router to be back "online"
  4. Plug in your Optik tv receiver

If wireless, you'll need to check the connection and possibly re-pair the Optik box to the modem. If in doubt, contact Telus.
