On the page it indicates that you can set recordings "even on the go". How far does on the go mean? I understand that to mean when away from home... Confusing

On the go means anywhere you have internet. I once set my PVR to record a show while I was a few provinces away. I'm not sure if the app works outside of Canada. If it doesn't you can use the website instead. The website gives you a few more options not found on the PVR/On the go app.

In the description for this app, they boast that you can set recordings when away from home with your smartphone. Not possible since the app needs to be connected to your home internet network, I guess you could technically be outside your house and still on your network. I am on vacation still in province and want to set a recording but the app constantly crashes on multiple devices. I am not trying to view programming, but simply set to record

Which App are you speaking of, the Optik Smart Remote App, Optik on the Go, or Remote Record? This thread is about the former. The Optik Smart Remote only works in the sphere of your wireless network.

It is the optik smart remote app, which now will not work even at home, reinstall and reboot have not fixed this. I have not heard of remote record but that sounds just like the service I could have used.

There is already another thread open for the Smart Remote crashing on iOS devices. There is no ETA on a fix yet.

I'm having the same problem on both my iPad and iPad mini. The on demand page pops up for an instant and then I'm sent back to the desk top.
All computers and TV are working fine.
