I have a 75” Samsung QN90 with a Telus 4K Arris box and every time I turn the tv off at night and turn it back on in the morning the tv picture is just a small box in the upper left corner. I have to unplug and replug in the HDMI cord every time I turn the tv on and off each day so the tv will recalibrate the tv signal. I have been playing with this since December.
Has anybody else had a similar issue? I am basically ready to toss the Telus cable box programming and just use the built in Samsung channels.

My samsung s95B does the same thing once and a while it changes the resolution to 720p and the image above appears. You have to manually reselect 2160p 4k in display settings. This happens coming out of sleep mode on the optik box.

I would look at settings on the TV for picture size to see if something there might be the culprit.

When you say it's a small box in the upper left corner is it exactly 1/4 of the TV display? If so this might be a scaling problem on the TV.
Do you have another source like a Blu-ray player? If so does it exhibit the same behavior?
What output resolution setting do you have the Optik box?

Hi @Seatoskyclimber , is this for all programs (shows/movies/VOD) or does it by any chance happen on advertisements only?
