Can i watch a different channel on live TV while recording on wireless pvr?

You can watch live TV while the Optik PVR records other shows.

I thought you could record one show on Satellite PVR then watch others, you just have to set it up before hand.

To my knowledge, on either system,  you cannot simply press 'Record' then switch channels, and have your recording retained.

On satellite TV, you can record two programs simultaneously but you are forced to watch one of them. If you try to something else on live TV you will lose one.
I gather that Optik does not change this other than allow 3 recordings.

However, you can watch other programs on your remote TV's independently of the recordings. Some Optik installations allow up to 5 simultaneous streams.
