This is sad and unfortunate. I love BBC programming. So how are Canadians going to be able to access BBC programs? Is BBC America going to be available?

Streaming, either from the mother ship, or through other suppliers such as Britbox or Acorn are likely you best solution. The importation of the US product is unlikely.

It would be nice if Telus would offer us something in exchange for the loss of BBC Canada from its theme package. I know this is not Telus' decision, but this is not the first time a channel has been removed without any compensation. Since "pick and pay" never really amounted to anything, we are still stuck using theme packages. Personally I'd like to see CTV Sci-Fi get moved into the package BBC Canada was in, I don't really understand why it is stuck in the world and beyond category along with History and Discovery. Other than it is another way to force us to have more theme packages to get 1 or 2 channels.

I watched a number of BBC Canada shows and will miss it. I wait and watch a similar number of CTV SCI-Fi shows once they hit Crave or NetFlix. Seems like a fair trade to me, and in a true pick and pay world it could happen. I'd love to trade all of the 5-10 channels that I never watch from theme packages in exchange for even 3 channels I would watch.
