The day to celebrate the one you love is here! While some of us have been preparing for February 14th for a long time, let’s be honest: every year there’s a few of us who are hitting the panic button a day or two before, scrambling for ideas.
What we need is something they’re never going to forget. Or at least something memorable enough to buy you another year. Here are some unique ideas on how to show that special someone how much they mean to you! (as well as a few tried and true classics because if time runs out, a good movie and some wine is never a bad idea). Check it out!
A Tour of Your Favourite Places
Think of this as a walk down memory lane. Go for a drink at the place where you first met. Return to the location where you proposed. Pick a few spots, let your S.O pick a few, and surprise each other!
Book a night’s stay at that hip boutique hotel you’ve always talked about. Find a nice dinner spot and then relax in your room. Pretend you’re in a different city. Many hotels have their own Valentine’s Day specials, so splurge a bit and enjoy your ‘time away’.
Take a Class Together
Here’s your chance to experience something new together! Look for something neither of you have done...how about a pottery class? A one night dance lesson? It’s all about making memories to share.
A Themed Dinner and Movie Night at Home
Is this ever not a great idea? Sure it’s been done before, sure this may be your normal Saturday night already...but now’s your chance to spice it up a bit. Watching Gregory Peck and Audrey Hepburn fall madly in love is all the better if you’ve got a massive plate of spaghetti and meatballs to go with it.
TELUS On Demand has countless romantic movies and comedies to make your night one to remember. Don’t forget Netflix as well! Have any last minute ideas to share on how to make the night one to remember? Let us know in the comments!
On behalf of our community team, we wish you a Happy Valentine’s Day!
