Yes. There are 3 ways:

 

  1. You can do it yourself online:
    Change your number.PNG
  2. Request the change using the Chat service online
    Logon chat.PNG
  3. Call TELUS at 611 from your mobile phone

One warning...

 

My initial prepaid phone number had daily nuisance spam calls.  I changed the number.  About two months later I was getting spam calls on it too.  The emergency phone number was NEVER given to anyone.  The new number was likely abandoned by someone prior who had too many spam calls too.

 

Looking forward to the new phone local.

@xl the spammers pick a prefix and use a auto-dialer to go through all the numbers using that prefix. No number is actually on a list anywhere.

If i change my cell phone number from home, will i lose anything from my phone (messages, contacts etc..)

  Info that is on your phone will not be lost. Message strings may not be able to continue, and may have to be started afresh, but the old info will still be there.

In the states they have a service to block phone numbers and it tells the annoying people number not in service
