How to rectify a sign-in error?

Having trouble with a sign-in error for my email account on my htc phone.  Email address is incorrect currently and I need to change.

What specific model of phone do you have currently and what specific error message are you receiving? Are you able to delete the e-mail address from the phone and re-add it?
