Hello

 

The above noted phone # is on my account # 16390899. The user of this device is now living in Calgary.

Are we able to assign a Calgary # to his device, and is this the reason the calls are being charged .50 per call?

 

Please advise.

You can login to your account and change the phone number or call telus to make the change.

 

You will pay long distance charges (likley the $0.50 you quoted above) on a per minute basis until it has a new local to Calgary  number.

The account owner will have to reach Telus to have the phone number changed. Online account only allows phone number change within the same province. If he does not want to lose his phone number, the other option would be to add a long distance package, but other people without a long distance plan calling him will have long distance charges.
