My 3-year contract with Telus will expire at the beginning of February, but I ported my Telus number to another service provider at the end of December. I was under the impression that I would only have to pay the remainder of my device balance for breaking my Telus contract and no cancellation fee because I'm in Quebec. However, I just looked at my current Telus bill and there is a $100 "Termination Liability Charge." What is the cancellation policy for Quebec customers? Thanks in advance for any help.
Quebec customers who signed their contract BEFORE June 29, 2010 are charged 20$ for each month remaining on the contract, between a 100$ minimum and a 400$ maximum. Call them to sort things out if you suspect there's an error.
