I have removed a contact  in my Contacts & my Email Contacts list....however, when I go to New Mail and click on "To" this name is still on the list.  How do I permanently remove it ?

No, but we do have a life outside the Neighbourhood.

EDIT Based on your information, the only other things I can think of, is:

- you may need to delete any messages to or from the recipient

- you need not only to delete contacts from the Address Book, but you also need to empty the Address Book Trash can.

What email client are you using?

Using Telus Webmail....

As you type an address, there is a 'Forget' option which should remove the address from your former emails list.

I don't have that "forget" option....if I start typing in the name I want to go, it either just stops after each letter or it takes me to the deleted "Junk" file in mail.  The name is Not in my Contacts list, so now what ??

Thanks so much....emptying the Address Book trash can did the trick !  I really appreciate your patience with me.  One question....how come you have that "forget" option  ??  Are there different kinds of email...business vs personal etc. ?

Anyhow...thanks again...and Happy Thanksgiving !

We don't always have answers as we haven't experienced the issue - remember, the neighbours here have no access to the internal workings of Telus, and volunteer their time.

The Forget option appeared against my email addresses, and may not appear elsewhere. It was a quick try to find a solution, which didn't apply in your situation. What happens if you type your email into the address box?

Nothing happens...it|s just as if I put in any contact. You must just be "Special" !!
