Depending on your device if you can do a battery pull, try that or simply turn the device off and back on. I would say by powercycling the device it would resolve most glitches in the phone.
Do you have a pre-paid account or do you receive regular monthly bills?
If its a prepaid account, call #123 or use telusmobility.com/myaccount and ensure you still have a balance or a texting feature on the account.
If its an account where you are billed monthly, you may need to call us to do some back end troubleshooting. Please ensure you are not calling from the device from which you are having trouble.
