Just Moved In

I was in southern  Manitoba last weekend and could not get any cell service. How can this be fixed?

Much of Manitoba outside of Winnipeg and the Highway 1 corridor are not serviced by Telus, but rather MTS. If you we're close to the US border, you might be out of the Telus coverage area. Someone else may have better info on roaming agreements between the two carriers.

If you have an iphone you can try by going into settings > General > Reset > Reset Network settings. By doing that you will refresh type of signal you are receiving from Telus, dont worry if you see that your phone powecycles itself. I hope this would help.

This will not resolve the issue, Telus has insufficient coverage (read Tower Agreements) within even Winnipeg, they have no coverage in many parts of Manitoba either via Roaming agreements or other wise.

They have no plans to increase coverage at this time as I've been told multiple times earlier this year.. Considering I couldn't even call 911 in January when I was in a major car accident while 5 minutes out side of downtown because I had.. No signal

This is why I cancelled my service, because of a non stop slew of dropped calls, poor coverage and even worse customer service.. Oh and being flat out lied to about coverage and service options when I bought my iPhone 4 two  years ago.
