Unlock from abroad

Hi,

I bought an iPhone 5s locked to Telus a couple weeks ago from a guy in Manitoba where I stayed for some time. He had it for much longer than those 90 days, so it should be eligible for unlocking.

Can I do that from abroad, though? I am in Europe now and have no idea when I will be back in Canada. Neither do I have his account data, nor can I buy a Telus prepaid card to put money on it and pay the unlocking that way, as I am not in the country. Any ideas as to what I can do?

Other than asking the guy in Manitoba to help you out, the only other option would be to go to a third party unlock service and have them unlock it for you.

A prepaid SIM would not help you, as it can’t connect to the network from Europe.
