I purchased a new cell phone a month ago with a current balance of $383. I checked what the trade in value for this mint condition, month old phone and it was $50! Are you serious Telus?? This is ridiculous. After you convinced me to upgrade to this stupid phone, it is now worth nothing and I can't get a different phone. Not impressed with Telus services.
It won't be any different on other carriers. If Telus can resell it, they're not going to pay you the same price they'll be selling it for. Most of the phone prices from the carriers are inflated to include their marketing cost and profit. The trade-in on my old phone is a lot less than what they're going for on eBay or anywhere else if I were to try buy it now.
