Tablet plan.

I got a tablet on a plan and was wondering if text and calling is included? it has it's own phone number and there is the message icon which I get texts to on home screen.

All mobility devices are assigned a ‘phone’ number. You may be able to send texts through certain apps, particularly on iOS, but you can’t make phone calls, unless you use a VoIP App and account.

If it's an android tablet you'll be charged for texts if you use the default app.
