That could mean your SIM card isn't registered with Telus. Did you replace it or your phone recently?

Was this sim card and this phone working before? Which model are you using and since when do you have the error message?

Thank you for your reply. I used all of the ideas on the list and one of
them must have worked. I have yet to figure out how to withdraw this
question however!

It means you didn't register your SIM card on your account and you would be unable to use your service.  Call TELUS costumer service to activate.
