Since the switch to charge for US texts I added this plan and I don't feel it's reasonable to charge $10 as compared to the $5 for Messaging 250, when I might only send 10 US txt messages and you use the rest of the plan for Canadian texts, and there's no other plan to have international-only texts. I'm really unhappy with Telus's lack of flexibility lately and will be looking into switching companies.

At least companies like Virgin don't charge 0.40cents a message outside of a plan and have US & Canada unlimited options. http://www.virginmobile.ca/en/plans/prepaid-talktext-plans.html?itcid=TAB:35 Even Bell (*shudder*) is doing better than Telus with American plans http://www.bell.ca/Mobility/Products/Text_Messaging

There are no larger Canadian cellular providers that offer free US texts that I know of. Wind Mobile does but their service area is so very small. Since there is a near monopoly by Rogers, Bell and Telus and their combined desire for profits, don't expect much in Canada.
