Do you lose your prepaid number when balance runs low?

Hi all,

What the title says. I was told that your prepaid mobile phone will deactivate after it's not used and the balance goes to zero, but when that happens, do you lose your phone number?. How long does it take for your phone number to expire so it's no longer yours?.

Or... do you keep your phone number and is it reactivated when you add more money to your balance?.

Thanks!

If I recall, it can be reactivated for 90 days, then the number goes back to the pool for reassignment to other customers.

You can keep your number alive for about $8.50/month if you buy and apply the $100 annual top-up card.
