Just Moved In

Every 2 or 3 times I get into my car the Bluetooth will not hook up. I have to turn off the car and the phone, turn the phone on then the car and then they work. This was happening with my old phone and old car but when I got a new Moto G phone it was still happening. Then I got  a new car and it is still going on. Anyone have any ideas?

Factory or aftermarket headunit? Start with the basics of deleting the old Bluetooth pairing profile on both cellphone and headunit and perform a new pairing.

Have you checked for any "software/firmware" updates for the headunit.
