I'm really confused as to how this discount is applied to the bill.
So I switched to a different plan last month (mid billing cycle) and was told that I would be eligible for the BYOD 10% discount. Bill arrives...I see the partial adjustments for the past month and also the full price for next month; but I don't see any indication of of the BYOD discount. Called customer service, but they don't really explain anything clearly except that I will see a discount beginning next month. It didn't sound like the person in billing was too familiar with the process, as well.
Now I'm trying to analyze how this discount works and want some clarification. I know that the bills are for service for a month in advance. With that in mind, are adjustments/discounts/etc applied a month in advance, as well? Or are they applied after the month has been completed (end of billing cycle)?

Hello theprodigy, Nighthawk is usually correct but the best way for you to be sure would be to contact Telus client care team, they'll have full access to your account.

The bill won't show it specifically as the BYOD discount. My monthly statement has it under "Other Charges and Credits" as that line is 10% of what the plan cost is on the line above.
As far as I know it should be applied right away but Telus may have changed their process. Or it could be some kind of human error from the sales side too.

In addition to what NightHawk has said, I would ask if you are actually bringing your own device? If you're actually on contract, they will remove the discount and that could be another reason its not appearing.
